Position Summary: Applicants are sought for up to three temporary full-time positions to support field research on an oceanographic expedition to Antarctica. The position involves collection of a variety of seawater, particle, and sediment samples for 23 distinct research projects, all involving traces metals and natural isotopic systems. These positions will report to the GEOTRACES GP17-ANT cruise management team, who will supervise them on board. The cruise will leave Punta Arenas, Chile on approx. Nov. 24, 2023 and end at Littleton, NZ on approx. Jan 30, 2024. The position will also require attendance at a cruise planning meeting and a 5-day training session, both in Norfolk Virginia.
