POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE
Position Summary: The Department of Marine & Coastal Sciences, is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate. The Postdoctoral Associate will conduct specialized research linking a collaborative project investigating the provenance of alkenones versus foraminiferal based paleo sea surface temperature proxies in the western Atlantic with a project reconstructing the ventilation of the Indian Ocean over the last glacial cycle It is expected that you have expertise in many of the following areas including planktic and benthic foraminiferal speciation, light stable isotope analysis of carbonates (d18Ocalcite and d13Ccalcite), trace metal analyses of carbonates for temperature reconstruction (e.g. Mg/Ca), preparation of foraminifera for radiocarbon analyses, and age modelling of
